Similar to a MPUV curing additive lamp, HPUV curing additive lamps have short wavelength spectral outputs that peak at 254nm and 365nm (mercury dosed). Other applications require longer wavelength peaks at 385nm and 417nm. To alter the spectral output and access these additional radiation peaks – additive lamps are created by dosing the lamps with heavy metal compounds. Commonly requested additives for HPUV curing lamps are Gallium-Iodide dosing (400 -450nm) and Iron-Iodide dosing (350 – 400nm). Other additives are available upon request dependent on your specific application.
